Real footage of the RMS Olympic leaving the City of New York bound for Southampton via Cherbourg in 1920. True life onboard in motion film. All areas of the ship are covered including behind the scenes galley food preparation. The RMS Olympic, Titanic’s Sister ship is even seen being tendered to by the SS Nomadic, currently under restoration in Belfast Harbour’s Titanic Quarter. A stunning piece of history which will take you back to days of ocean liners at their finest.

This fantastic DVD ‘THE YARD’ features Belfast Ship Yard in the 1950’s and 1960’s. In its hay-day over 35,000 men were employed by Harland and Wolff. The ship yard which built RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic to name only two of the greatest oceans liners had a long and loving relationship with The White Star Line.

This old film footage show trades of a bygone era, Riveters, Catchers, Platers, Welders, Painters, very skilled Cabinet makers and not forgetting the many thousands of general labourers going about their daily routine in THE YARD. The footage is a Golden piece of Belfast’s history and can be played on any DVD player, home computer or lap top.
